PACKAGING METHOD

 

TOMiGAi Koi food is packaged through the Nitrogen gas rush packaging method. Oxygen, which shows to be a primary cause of spoilage, is eliminated from the bag, thereby submitting the bag of TOMiGAi Koi Food to a vacuum stage then we go one step further by pumping Nitrogen inside. Nitrogen gas is proven to maintain quality and freshness of food for prolonged periods of time, and because contents are allowed to move freely within the bag, the integrity of the shape and form of TOMiGAi Koi Food is maintained. To ensure that moisture levels are kept at a minimum, desiccant is added.

 

SPIRULINA

is popularly known to be a color enhancing ingredient in Koi Food. The best results in enhancing the beni or red of your Koi is when Spirulina is coupled with a higher percentage of protein in your food. It is for this reason that the TOMiGAi variant of Spirulina contains a minimum of 50% Protein in the formula. Not only does TOMiGAi Spirulina actively enhance and maximize your Koi’s potential to acheive beautiful,vibrant and lusterous beni, it will also encourage the growth and development of your Koi’s body conformation.

This variant is best fed when water temperatures are between 72 and 82 degrees Fahrenheit.

While Wheat Germ is more popularly known to be fed during the colder season, the TOMiGAi variant of Wheat Germ is best used for the growing season.  In addition to boasting a 50% minimum protein content level, the main protein source is White Fish Meal.  The TOMiGAi Wheat Germ is part of the TOMiGAi Premium Growing line, and promotes maximum growth potential and proper development of a Koi’s conformation and size.  Due to the fact that growth is best achieved in the months wherein temperatures are high, TOMiGAi Wheat Germ is best used at this time of year.

Fast becoming a TOMiGAi Hobbyist favorite, the Tategoi is targeted and created with special focus to enhancing the Shirojiand the conformation of Koi even in the early Spring and Late fall when temperatures begin to drop as this is the perfect time to bring out the white in your Koi. It contains 40% protein, which bridges the gap between the 35% protein content of Taberu and the 50% Protein content that the Premium food line, Wheat Germ and Spirulina, have to offer.
